The Donetsk Camping Park: Euro 2012 Football Fans Will Be Accommodated with Chic and In the Open Field

The cost of accommodation at the rate of about 25 Euro in the Donetsk camping park for football fans of European Football Championship 2012 was recommended to investors by the representatives of the consulting company hired by the UEFA for assistance in camping park organization.

According to Sergey Hanovich, the investor of campsite for Euro 2012 and general director of the company The Golden Slagheap, the project of the fan camping park in Donetsk was positively assessed by Stephen Krell, the representative of the consulting company that UEFA specially hired to pride advice and assistance in organizing the camps.

S. Hanovich noted that there are three categories of accommodation at the camp: the lowest one is when you are only offered the place for your personal tent; a higher level is when camping tent is also provided with a sleeping bag; and the “luxury” level is when campsite offers a tent, in which you can stand at full height, or “houses” with full beds. Accommodation in such tents is widely used during the various music festivals.

Another option is special tents to accommodate three thousand people. In the tents, there will be beds with linens and pillows, fans, the ability to charge mobile phone and so on. It is reported that a tent will have four rooms, with each room designed for 2 or 3 people, depending on how they wish to settle.

“The cost of one place will be 25 euros per bed in the tent. This cost includes the cost of washing linen, the cost of health services (namely shower and toilet), electricity, security, entertainment, and Wi-Fi. (Wi-Fi issue is not resolved yet. Would it be paid or free? It depends on the price that provider will offer.)», – said the investor.

Not only tents will be placed at the campsite but also the volunteer center, bars, shopping pavilions, car parking lot, athletic fields, feeding zone, and so on. Football fans of Euro 2010 will be able to play volleyball, soccer, and etc. on special sport grounds. In addition, investors plan to place a large inflatable swimming pool and ice-bar made of ice, where football fans can cool off. Camping organizers are supposed to set up small exhibitions too.

As for the feeding zone, it will present by itself special pavilions that meet all sanitary conditions. Food will be prepared in a factory kitchen, and then half-finished products will be cooked up until ready to eat in these specialized pavilions.

“It is not some sort of sophisticated restaurant food. It will be fast food but of the highest quality, because we are conscious of the responsibility in this matter. Food will be timely delivered. We’ll have enough freezers ” -  said Hanovich.

Meanwhile, the Donetsk camping park of Euro 2012 looks like a clear field now.

€25 per night seems excessive. If the Irish are based here I can see loads on campervans just pulling up on the side of the road and saving the cash for beer… Surely if I offered a local farmer €5 he would let me put my campervan in his field for the night

Hi Mike. It is true that prices for accommodation will rise massively in Donetsk during Euro 2012. However, I hardly believe that anyone will be allowed to leave their campervan on the side of the road in Donetsk. Besides, you will not find farmers in Donetsk, maybe just only out of Donetsk.
